Just keep in mind that it's not a leisure walking in the forest, it's a hiking tour of 2-3 h with moderate elevation, hence requires adequate fitness level to enjoy it. Don't forget to pack snacks and a lot of water.
Claudio is highly knowledgeable tour guide, adding to the beauty of the Alps a lot of interesting historical information. He is attentive to the needs of the group, checking on everyone regularly, so don't hesitate to take it even if you're a solo traveller.

What you need to know before you go:
There are two buses you take to get to the base of the mountain.

The trip is roughly a full day event departing at nine am and returning around five thirty pm to the central train station.

Bring layers depending on when you hike. The dramatic elevation means it may be cold at the top.

You hike up and bus down.

If it rains bring plastic bags to keep your non waterproof gear dry.

If it’s raining, it’s still worth the trip for the history, fresh air and good company! More

The walking tour with Claudio gives you the time and space to fully immerse yourself in the history of whole site. It is during this time that Claudio's deep, broad knowledge of history and genuine passion really make their presence felt - if you enjoy taking a deep dive into history, philosophy and politics whilst you hike then this is trip for you.
