Firstly, our mission is to offer an exclusive hiking tour to experience a trip of a lifetime. Secondly, to show you the region in a special manner by venturing into the mountains of Berchtesgaden in the middle of the Bavarian Alps for incredible trails, views, and secret WWII locations.

Why is our Eagle’s Nest tour unique?

You will hike with your guide, who will orientate you in the mountain every step of the way and show you places that the forest has eaten away since 1945. Together, you will follow the footsteps of the famous Easy company part of the 101’st Airborne up the mountain.

Because of the history of the place many questions will rise, for example: How did they got there? who was there first? and many other questions will be answered.

Moving on foot provide us with many advantages since you will be able to hike thru trails and discover spots that are not accessible by bus that tell the story of WWII in a very personal way (these locations are missed by almost everyone visiting the Eagle’s nest), as well you will be able to experience the true nature of the Alps with its fresh air, meadows and mountains.  In conclusion this tour combines nature, exercise and many insights to the history of WII.

How is the tour?

The atmosphere of our hike tour is informal but at the same time professional. We want to ensure that you get the most out of your experience by providing you with something special, something beyond traditional mass tourism and that is the feeling that you are hiking with a friend and at the same time keep the highest safety standards.

Your guide will give you helpful tips along the hike and make sure you have a great overview of the area so that at the end you will know Berchtesgaden better than most people. He will as well make sure to set up a comfortable pace up the hill and have great breaks with amazing views.

Together, we will gain 800 meters of altitude; on average we cover 400 meters an hour giving us total of a two-hour hike to the top. Because of this a good rule of thumb is if you exercise regularly or if you can walk over 12.000 steps a day you are good to go. That can ensure you will enjoy the most out of the hike.

Join us to rediscover hidden locations in the forest that tell the story of WWII in a unique way, for example, visit the remains of Hitler’s house and several other secret locations. Then our hike up incredible trails to the Kehlsteinhaus at imposing 1848 meters above sea level, Hitler’s personal mountain retreat later renamed as the famous Eagle’s Nest by the American troops stationed there. The whole place was the heart of the Third Reich. Above all it was built for two purposes, one, to be an Alpine fortress and the other, to impress.

• Comfortable shoes
• Comfortable clothing (bring extra shirt to switch to on top)
• Water and snack (food for picnic in the Alps optional).
• Extra cash for anything you want to purchase there. (Money for restaurant.)
• Camera to take pictures of the stunning scenery.
• Passport

The price of the tour is just 98 euros for adults, 69 euros for teenagers and 59 euros for kids.
